Girls’ Cricket in Schools ASDA Kwik Cricket 2010 saw continued expansion in the number of Suffolk schools entering girl’s teams in the national ASDA Kwik Cricket Tournament. Eight School Sports Partnerships organised Girl’s Festivals with a total of 41 teams and just under 400 players participating. Breckland Middle School from Brandon were the County Champions and represented Suffolk in the Regional Final in July. But it was County Runners-up and fellow qualifiers, Elm Tree Middle School from Lowestoft, who starred for Suffolk by finishing third out of the seven counties. St Louis Middle School from Bury St Edmunds were the inaugural U13 County winners and went through to the Regional Final representing Suffolk. St Joseph’s College, Ipswich were County winners at U15s.
