If any clubs are seeking financial assistance to help support coach education costs this winter, please find listed below three potential areas we would encourage Clubs to individually apply to.
These schemes are not managed by the SCB, so we cannot influence their decision, and as with all grant applications each individual application is assessed on its own merit. We believe that well written applications that can clearly demonstrate a benefit to their Community either through improved quality coaching, or helping to support, increases in participation by having more coaches, have a decent chance of succeeding. As with all Grant schemes they cannot fund retrospectively, so please bear this in mind. 1. Local Authority Coaching Bursary Schemes: Most local authorities operate grant schemes to support Coach Education. Forest Heath in particular did a great job last year in supporting a number of cricket coaches, access to the LA websites can be made by clicking on the link below: http://www.suffolksport.com/page.asp?section=0001000100090001§ionTitle=Local+Authorities 2. Suffolk Foundation: The Foundation have supported a number of clubs in the past year, of particular interest to them are start up situations, ie new junior section, new girls or ladies section, and projects being delivered and making a difference in deprived areas, contact details below: http://www.suffolkfoundation.org.uk This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Tel 01473 734127 3. Sport England Small Grant Aid Scheme: All clubs who affiliate to the SCCB and the ECB are eligible to apply, if you are thinking of applying for funding to this scheme you will need to contact Martin Taylor to act as the referee for the National Governing Body.
