 Cricket is the fastest growing international sport for women and girls, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC). In 2009 the ASDA Kwik Cricket competition experienced a 97% increase in girls’ teams competing nationally; in Suffolk we achieved a 300% increase! SCB is leading the way in actively creating opportunities for more women and girls to enjoy cricket in schools and clubs. |

With the 2011 season in full swing our attention is already looking forward to next summer and the Girls’ representative squads for 2012. I am sure you will be aware that Suffolk Cricket Board together with the Suffolk Women’s and Girls’ Cricket Association run County squads at U11, U13, U15 and U17 age groups as well as 4 District squads at U12. |
