Following the success of the Young Umpires Award course earlier this year, the ECB have asked if there is anyone (preferably aged 18 – 25yrs approximately) interested in actually tutoring this course. Ideally anyone interested should have an umpiring qualification (Level 1 or 2) however all applicants will be considered. Please note all training for this course will be provided by the ECB. Cricket is the fastest growing international sport for women and girls, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC). In 2009 the ASDA Kwik Cricket competition experienced a 97% increase in girls’ teams competing nationally; in Suffolk we achieved a 300% increase! SCB is leading the way in actively creating opportunities for more women and girls to enjoy cricket in schools and clubs. |
