It is with great sadness that the Association has to report the loss of another of its members.

Don Quennell, who was minutes secretary and appointments secretary in charge of call-offs, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 30.
He took up umpiring towards the end of his playing career ten years ago and had been on the umpiring panel since 2000.
For several years he also organised the indoor six-a-side league at Gainsborough Sports Centre, Ipswich, during the winter months, with his wife, Jean, as scorer for all teams.
Together they also ran the course for aspiring scorers at Woolpit Institute and many benefited from their sessions, going on to pass the final examinations.
Don was also heavily involved in the Scouting organisation in Suffolk as well as organising social functions for the Ex-Fire Brigade Services Association in Ipswich.
In his younger days, both at home and abroad, Don was a fast bowler but in his latter days, when playing for Browns CC at Humber Doucy Lane and then at Rushmere Sports Club, he proved a more than reliable batsman.
Mick Blows, chairman of the Association of Suffolk Umpires and Scorers, said: "We are all shocked by the sudden loss of one of our members and all our thoughts are at present with his widow, Jean, and their sons Ian and Mark.
"Our meeting on January 18 will indeed be a sad one and a minute's silence will be held before the start."
