Compliments of the Season to you all. The absolute priority once the snow has melted is to check for fungal disease which often proliferates under the blanket cover. Those of you who have not spiked yet need to get on with needle tines asap. Those of you following a strict fertiliser programme will need to get some more Scotts Autumn on when conditions allow this will keep the colour and protect the plants from the extreme weather. Brushing and worm control will be essential operations if the weather warms up. Outfields will need brushing and slitting/ vertdraining again once conditions allow. This could be a long cold winter and if so all machinery will need to be in top condition ready to cope with the early spring rush. Most service engineers are short of work and a good deal price wise can be negotiated especially on grinding if you are quick and hard nosed. Bargains on mowers and machinery in general can often be had at this time of year, especially on ebay, but there is more guarantee with a local dealer.
