The Suffolk Cricket Board in conjunction with the Suffolk Grounds Association and Institute of Groundmanship (IOG) successfully held the Foundation - Part A Spring preparation and Summer Maintenance course on Saturday March 20th.

Our thanks go to Copdock & OI’s CC for offering their clubhouse and square for the day, JLS catering for a superb two course meal and Tim Parker for ensuring the county trailer was present with all the appropriate equipment .

There were eleven delegates from across the County and indeed Cambridgeshire that attended, and despite the challenge of trying to use a lawnmower in light rain, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. In fact five of the delegates have already registered their intent in attending the IOG Foundation B course on Sept 18th. If anyone else is interested please visit the Suffolk Cricket Board (http://www.suffolkcricketboard.co.uk/content/view/92/113/) and / or the IOG (www.iog.org) websites to obtain further information about how to book and course content.

I’m sure everyone will be putting into practice all that they learnt from our excellent tutor (Mel Pooley) on the day, except for cutting when it’s raining!
