Suffolk County Cricket Board|
I’m conscious that you’ll all be concerned about the impending hosepipe ban, at present coming into force on April 5th and I wanted to ensure you were aware that Suffolk Cricket Board (as well as other affected county boards / ECB) are lobbying respective Water Companies in an attempt to gain an exemption As well as being in contact with Anglian Water (Suffolk & Essex Water at present haven’t imposed a hosepipe ban however are “monitoring the situation”) I sent this letter on behalf of Suffolk Cricket and all its affiliated clubs. Of course we all need to make every effort to conserve water usage in our clubs, and I would encourage everyone to visit http://www.anglianwater.co.uk/environment/using-water-wisely/ for advice and guidance on this matter. Details of a water efficiency project will be circulated shortly, which will see products fitted “free of charge” in cricket clubs that meet the required criteria. This is part of a much larger project which will hopefully see in the future rainwater harvesting and other large scale ideas help benefit clubs, in what is becoming an ever increasing problem. Some helpful tips on actions to take during a hosepipe ban can be found here. I will continue to keep you updated however rest assured we’re doing all that we can to get this hosepipe ban overturned” Rob Jones Cricket Operations Manager “Suffolk Cricket” Tel: 01473 781963 Mob: 07738 199152 |
