The mission of District Cricket is to be the first step for a player on a pathway of personal development for any cricketer in Suffolk. Our stated purpose is

 “To provide coaching and playing opportunities for players who aspire to improve their game and who display enthusiasm and commitment in their approach to cricket. We aim to produce cricketers who can learn and improve in a dynamic and fun environment; we aim to help them take the next step along the player pathway in Suffolk.”

County Cricket
The mission of County Cricket is the next step on the player pathway to continue development and represent the county in the national competition. Our stated purpose is

 “To produce high quality, young cricketers capable of representing the county through a high quality rigorous programme of coaching and matches.”

The Suffolk Young Cricketers’ Programme delivers high quality coaching and playing opportunities for players from clubs and schools who are motivated and aspire to improving their game. SYC runs County squads for girls and District and County squads for boys, at some or all age groups from U10 to U17.
