Suffolk Cricket Board and associated Leagues are calling upon recreational cricketers to have their say and influence the future of cricket at grassroots level in the second annual National Cricket Playing survey.

Last year 214 players in the county responded to the survey - the first of its kind ever undertaken in cricket and Suffolk Cricket Board along with ECB  is already acting on the comprehensive and wide-ranging feedback received.

2014 - We need your help, so that we can ensure we respond to what players want. To get a representative view, we need 500 responses, so please encourage all current (and lapsed) players (min 14yrs and upwards) you know to complete this survey.

Once all of your responses have been collated we’ll liaise with players, clubs and leagues to discuss and agree the future of cricket in our county.
Rest assured we intend to listen and respond with innovative and forward-thinking ideas which will all help attract more players and volunteers, which will benefit cricket as a whole.

Significant changes to the CASC scheme will come into effect next financial year; whilst most are an improvement to the scheme all clubs will need to reassess their membership of the scheme as a result of new qualification conditions.  The detail of the changes to the scheme should be finalised in summer 2014 and will affect all existing CASCs, those that have their applications pending assessment and those clubs which are considering applying for CASC status. Clubs currently in the scheme and those awaiting a decision on a pending application will have confirmation of the next steps in writing direct from HMRC. The clubs considering the scheme for the first time will be subject to the new criteria.
