SCB is working with a variety of partners including School Sports Partnerships, Suffolk Sport, the Cricket Foundation through its “Chance to Shine” scheme and with Local Authority community coaches. Our common purpose is to increase the visibility and opportunity for girls to play cricket making it accessible to everyone regardless of location, school or age. Read more about School Cricket.

Women’s Cricket
Women also have an increasing opportunity to learn and play competitive cricket in well established leagues within the county, as well as regional and national competitions. Club Mark clubs are increasingly offering the chance for talented juniors to continue their playing careers at senior level as well as recruiting new people to the game. Read more about Club Cricket.

Cricket is the fastest growing international sport for women and girls, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC). In 2009 the ASDA Kwik Cricket competition experienced a 97% increase in girls’ teams competing nationally; in Suffolk we achieved a 300% increase! SCB is leading the way in actively creating opportunities for more women and girls to enjoy cricket in schools and clubs.
