Aim The aim is to support young cricketers at county & district level whose personal and family circumstances mean that they would not be able to participate in training and matches or would create a significant financial strain for the family concerned. Support will be delivered by allocating Scholarship places. Eligibility Criteria A young person with an offer of a confirmed place in the one of the county or district age group squads, boys and girls, from age groups 10-17 years of age for the 2011 season. Application Process The applications for the 2012 season are now open and are welcome for submission before 1st December 2011. Decisions will be communicated by 15th December 2011. If you can help raise funds for 2012 then the committee would be delighted to talk to you, please contact Martin Taylor (07985 308305) in the first instance. To all that have supported our cause to date go our utmost thanks - 8 young cricketers will participate in the county programme during 2011 that may have had to give up the game without your support. Scholarship Packages The packages available will be tailored to the needs of the individual, however it will aim to cover any of the following based upon need. 1. Cost of winter coaching sessions. 2. Equipment needed to compete at county or district level. 3. Support funding for travel costs to winter training and summer matches.
