The Suffolk Cricket Board County Pitch Advisor (CPA) Mr Tim Parker is available to assess and advise on pitches, outfields and machinery, and is able to provide suitable information for raising the standard of playing surfaces in the County.

In association with the SCB and the SGA the CPA is able to undertake pitch inspections.  These services are designed to improve the quality of the playing surface, improve the standard of the grounds equipment and to offer practical solutions which will assist in this improvement.
Inspections fall into two categories:-

PRIORITISED DETAILED INSPECTION includes

• Detailed inspection of the cricket table to assess the current quality of the pitches.  Core samples will be taken and assessed.
• Soil testing, pH values can be requested.
• Assessment of the outfield.
• Machinery audit and any guidance required on replacement equipment.
• As well as verbal discussions on the day of inspection a full comprehensive written report including any recommendations will be made available to the club.  Photographs may also be included.
  

BASIC PITCH INSPECTION includes

• Detailed inspection of the pitch and assessing the core samples taken.
• Assessment of the outfield.
• Machinery audit.
• Provide verbal and written feedback to clubs including photographs.
  

The cost of the detailed inspection will range from £100.00 - £250.00 depending on the level of soil analysis required.  The basic inspection charge will be £50.00. The costs include the advisors time and all travelling costs incurred.
